Extended Employment

The Unicorn Centers’ Extended Employment program prepares Unicorn customers for community employment by providing the support that each individual needs to experience success in the workplace.

All customers are treated in a manner consistent with a “real job”. Each customer is assigned a Unicorn staff member as a supervisor, is given breaks and are expected to meet production demands within their abilities and are paid appropriately for their work.

Certified by the Department of Labor, Extended Employment participants work at the Unicorn Centers on sub-contracted jobs in cooperation with area businesses. This is often the first experience that many have had holding a job. Unicorn takes pride in assuring that every customer is paid for their work.

• pick-up
• delivery
• bulk mailing
• quality controlled and turn-key
